Codify Academy, an intensive sixteen-week front-end developer bootcamp in the heart of downtown San Francisco, was experiencing plateauing growth across a variety of KPIs including, most alarmingly, grad placement. The time had come for a comprehensive program rewrite and reboot. I effected and implemented the full curriculum rewrite, updated educational resources and activities, and content pivot for the changing demands of an evolved jobs market.

In addition to a brand new and focused learning management system, I effected sweeping new strategies for community engagement, alumni involvement, extra-curricular professional development tracks, and industry outreach. Internally, new metrics and tools were developed for onboarding and training future staff, gauging marketing performance, quantitatively assessing mentor performance, opening new critical feedback loops between students and staff, and building a more organic and far-reaching digital presence and following.

Codify Academy required a distinct and uniquely appealing brand identity to differentiate it from the sea of bootcamp competitors and breathe new life and brand equity into ongoing PPC and organic marketing strategies.

As a company founded by non-tech people, for non-tech people, attempting to redefine the Bay Area tech identity and democratize access to the tech industry for all, a new visual identity was required.

I pursued and developed an illustrative and highly accessible visual vocabulary; one which lent itself well to standing out in the realm of mobile PPC engagement, nurturing email marketing, and more organic social media campaigns.
